Veteran’s Banner Program
Beginning in 2023, the PRF will begin placing banners on the light poles along the walking path of the Riverfront property which is along the West edge of the DuPage River, south of Lockport St. Each banner will show a picture of a Veteran along with their name, branch, rank and dates of service. They will be displayed from Memorial Day until Veteran’s Day. The banners will be similar in size to those which can be seen on the light poles in the downtown business district. PRF is seeking individuals interested in celebrating a family member or loved one who has served. Each banner will have a yearly cost of $600 with $250 being contributed by the Veteran’s family and $350 being contributed by a local business sponsor. PRF will assist in finding business sponsors. When the banner is taken down in the fall, the family will have the option to keep the banner or renew again for the next year.
